TO-GO CUPS

These came as a request from a dear friend and collector when he saw my cup in the Starbucks Flat White campaign "I want one". (Happy Birthday Shawn.)  I wanted to share the cups -but with more... after all, they were just a prop for a photo shoot - these are real.

BLACK & WHITE, (ORANGE) COLLECTION

This is the latest iteration of the of my first collection at Pottery Northwest - now in black, white, and sometimes orange.

FAMILIAR

This vase / candle holder set comes from something you've seen before - but can't quite place it in its new porcelain finish.  Click on the picture on the left for the back story.

BIG BLUE & WHITE

Large one-of-kind center pieces, slip cast in porcelain with mason stained slip used as an accent. I used latex to create the mother mold for these forms, so they would register  as 'correct' to our eyes.  Shaped by nature.  The way they wear their weight and size.

THE SPIRIT COLLECTION

Late night musings and a bottle of whiskey after a colleague's exit show brought about "DISTILLED" (May 9th - June 1st, 2014) a show in which 20 artists were invited to participate in a collaboration with Fremont Mischief.

Unlike the heavy, masculine persona of many distilleries Fremont Mischief is different, and has a more delicate and feminine approach to it's spirit.

THE BLUE AND WHITE COLLECTION

The first collection of my residency from Pottery Northwest, references the Japanese colour pallet of luxury, and plays with the themes of belonging / difference, sets, and family.  I'm also working with the parameters of control and freedom - trying to offer a direction for the slip to travel, without altering it's natural course.

 SEWARD PARK YETI COLLECTION

This guy is a Yeti.
Or that’s what I’ve been calling him.
Though technically Yetis live in the Himalayas,
so this would be a long way to have traveled.
Produced in my time at Seward Park Studios,
let me tell you a little more about him & his friends...

 PARSON'S PORTFOLIO

This selection of work was produced while attending Parson's School of Design in NYC, between 1996 and 2000

BRAIIINS RIIINGS...

This is a little project I work on
every time my husband forgets his wedding ring at home.

It makes me smile.
